The Immensity of the Divine

In this role I am growing into I feel I must first speak to windows. The Divine, whether you name them God or Nature or Love — or so many other possibilities — is too large for us to see alone. We look through our windows into the immensity of the Divine. Wicca, Buddhist, Christian, Atheist— we have so many windows founded on deep belief in Love. And yes, I include Atheist and Agnostic as believers — in my experience, Atheists and Agnostics believe deeply in so much: In working to make this world a better place; In love; In Community; And in our bigger human purpose.

And aren’t those the heart of belief?

My particular window into the Divine is through the Lutheran Tradition. I see an immense God through this window who, when stated simply, is Love. In the book I use as a guide, it is stated: God is Love. Not God is like Love or God is Love, But. . .

Just, simply, God is Love.

Is.

If you view the world through a lens of Love, you are holy. And your holiness is wholly how you define it
